Balanced nutrition is important for healthy hooves. It has been shown that biotin can support the quality of hoof horn when supplemented at 15-20mg per day for at least 6-9 months. In addition to biotin several other nutrients are required to improve hoof quality, these include the trace minerals zinc and copper, plus lecithin, sulphur, and the amino acid methionine.
